Slippery Silks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Slippery Silks (1936) is the 19th of Columbia Pictures' 190 short subjects starring the comedy team of the Three Stooges.
[edit] Plot
The Stooges are carpenters who are hired to duplicate a priceless antique Chinese cabinet, which was on loan to Mr. Morgan. The Stooges naturally destroy the valuable cabinet, so they go on the run from Mr. Morgan. Meanwhile, the Stooges inherit a fancy dress boutique, so they enter the fashion business. They are hired to put on a fashion show by a woman who turns out to be Mr. Morgan's wife.
[edit] Notes
This is the first short where Curly shakes a dazed Moe and asks him to "say a few syllables".
This is the first true pie fight in the Stooge shorts. In Pop Goes the Easel, there is a fight with clay, but this is the first time the Stooges find themselves in a pie fight.
