Sligo Yacht Club

The Sligo Yacht Club is located at Rosses Point, County Sligo, Republic of Ireland. It has been located at its present site since 1973, and recently underwent a major redevelopment in preparation for the 2006 GP14 World Championships. The event, which was won by Ian Dobson & Andy Tunnicliffe (Burwain S.C. / Windermere Y.C.), was run successfully in the new facility. The new clubhouse is be the most modern on the island of Ireland[citation needed]. Set in some of the best sailing grounds on the British Isles, this club has great potential and is only in its infant years[citation needed].
