Slider may refer to:

  • a baseball pitch; see slider.
  • a part of a parachute; see slider (parachuting).
  • a cricket delivery; see slider (cricket).
  • a turtle or terrapin of the genus Trachemys
  • a person who claims to affect electrical objects such as streetlights is called a SLIder. The phenomenon describing them is called Street light interference.
  • a rock band from Austin, Texas.
  • Slider (sometimes spelled Slyder), a hamburger sold by the White Castle restaurant chain. The term is often used generically to describe any small hamburger, particularly one served as an appetizer.
  • a metal bar that is welded or bolted to the undercariage of an off-road vehicle to prevent damage to the body or frame when driving over rough terrain.
  • an adjustable electronic control (usually a potentiometer) that moves in a linear fashion rather than a more common rotary control. Often used as a volume control in an audio mixing board (where it is also known as a fader) or for similar applications such as brightness control on a light switch or a speed control on an electric motor.
