Welcome to Wikipedia, Sledgeh101! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

Thanks for uploading Image:Yucko The Clown.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Images with no copyright
Hi. I noticed that you're adding a lot of images and a lot of them have neither source nor copyright information. Images on Wikipedia with no copyright info are not allowed and will eventually be deleted - take a close look at Wikipedia:Image use policy so you don't wind up wasting your time. Scans are done periodically like Wikipedia:Untagged images#List of untagged images which finds images that have no copyright tags and will start the process of removing them. - BTW, your DVD covers and movie posters may be covered under {{DVDCover}} and {{Movieposter}} as long as they're reduced-quality so they can't be used for bootlegging. Imagine the disaster here if the world's largest DVD black market outfit said they were using Wikipedia images for all of their bootlegged DVDs! :) --wknight94 14:12, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
I tried to look again for the place where I got the image, but I couldn't find the website anymore. The closest I came to finding the same image was a different MTV site, http://data.mtvnetworks.nl/misc/dynimg/Thumb_2089__tmbStankervision.jpg. If this means that the image has to be taken down, so be it.
BTW, all the movie DVD posters I post should be of good quality, but not the highest quality around (besides, if someone is REALLY determined to copy movie posters illegally from the net, I'm not so sure that they would first raid Wikipedia - they could simply go through Amazon.com).

Thanks for uploading Image:GorillaMyDreams.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
