"Sleeping Dogs" is a pop rock song written by Merril Bainbridge and samples the chorus of the Bee Gees song "I Started a Joke" and used for the bridge of the song. It was produced by Siew for Merril Bainbridge's first album The Garden and was released as a CD single in Australia in February 1996 being the last song released from the album. The song tells a story of a couple that torment and insult each other and make up for it all in one day while one of them are getting sick of living that way in a Love/Hate relationship.
