[edit] British aristocracy/Loyalist figures
I have added two citation notes to the article. The first deals with the statement that members of the British aristocracy brought slaves to what is now Canada. Might it be possible to indicate who these aristocrats were? The second citation note concerns the figures on the number of slaves brought north during the American Revolution. I question the first number, that asociated with Nova Scotia, as it seems to reflect the number of freed slaves that settled in the colony. The other numbers also seem suspect. More to the point, the numbers simply don't match. The first paragraph in the "Under British rule" section indicates that loyalists brought approximately 2000 slaves to British North America, yet the second paragraph states that the British owned 1400 slaves.
