[edit] History

Formed in 1994, Slaves on Dope gained a small share of popularity with their 2000 release Inches From the Mainline. The album was released through Ozzy Osbourne's now defunct Divine Recordings label. The band toured Ozzfest in 2000, and made an appearance on the SnoCore tour. With no music video and radio support, the album sold approximately 70,000 copies in the United States.[1]

After Divine Recordings lost their distribution deal with Priority Records (EMI), the band was left without a label. After a long search, the band was signed by Bieler Bros. Records/MCA Records. Their second major album Metafour was released in 2003, and steered away from their previous nu metal sound, opting for a more alternative metal album.

In March of 2004, the band announced that they were going on hiatus due to vocalist Jason Rockman leaving the band. Bassist Frank Salvaggio and drummer Rob Urbani are now part of the band Anew Revolution, featuring ex-Unloco vocalist Joey Duenas.

Kevin Jardine has gone on to become a producer in Montreal, working with local talent to give them the experience of a professional musician that they can't get working with other locals in the city.

Kevin Jardine has also gone on to form a new rock band, The Monarchy [2] . The 1st album " Kings Of Nothing" was completed in December 2006, and produced and engineered by Kevin, and should be released sometime in 2007.
