[edit] Summary

He-Man saves an unknown woman from the Kobolds. She introduces herself as Princess Rana of Targa, and tells him about the city of Targa where the evil Lodar rules. He enslaved the woman's tribe. He-Man heads off to this city to free the people, but he's knocked out by a giant boulder rolling down a mountain in a storm, that lets him amnesiac. The monsters bring him into Lodar's prison. Lodar decides He-Man has to fight a man called Garn in an arena. The victor should be set free. He-Man recovers his memory and wins, but he refuses to kill his competitor. Instead, he attacks Lodar and of course wins. The Kobolds flee at the sight of their master losing. Afterward, Lodar and the Kobolds are banished underground, where Lodar no longer will be able to use magic without the sun and the moon. He-Man, triumphant, heads off to new adventure.

[edit] Notes

  • This comic came packaged with Prince Adam, Orko and Zodak, but Orko didn't even appear in the story. Adam appears at the first two panels (before transforming) and, though Zodak doesn't appear, the character Lodar was supossed to be him, but Mattel changed its mind and renamed the character "Lodar" erasing the upper line from the "Z", making it a "L", and adding a line to the "K", making it a "R".
  • This minicomic was adapted from an episode of the TV series: MU031 A Tale of Two Cities. The main difference between both versions was the change of villains.
