Slava Likhatchev

Slava Likhatchev (born May 5, 1969) is a professional artist and graphic designer. His introduction to graphic design began at age 11, when he enrolled in art school. Upon graduation he achieved his Bachelors degree at Stroganov Institute. In his senior year, Slava was recruited by the prestigious Moscow Institute of Arts and Design (former Stroganov Institute) to go and study in Moscow receiving a Masters degree in graphic design in 1995.
After graduation Slava took on a position as 3D artist/animator at Animatek, a Russian computer animation and game company. After two years spent at Animatek's main office, Slava was transferred to the San Francisco office and came to the United States in April 1997.
Slava has received many honors and awards including the Sony Platinum Award for animated graphics for Final Fantasy Tactics, which won the best computer animation game in 1997. Also, “Merging Traffic”, which Slava was the creator, in 2000 FilmMaker magazin e awarded it best movie on the Internet.
