Masked Quince
Masked Quince

Born in the United States of America in 1787, Slan Quince was the adopted child of a blacksmith, from whom he learned his handicraft. He died and reborn as an Immortal, after his ship was sunk by the British during the War of 1812. He learned the rules of The Game from the Immortal Patrick Stanze, living the first half of his life as a blacksmith, like his father. Later, he begun to hunt Immortals, even making his own special customized sword with a projectile hidden in the handle. Because he took pleasure in hunting not only other Immortals, but also their close friends, he begun to be called "Slan, the Cat". During the fights, Slan carried a metallic mask, in order to protect his face, which, according to his opinion, was his most valuable property. In 1992, Connor MacLeod begun to follow Quince, on a mission to stop him. He followed Quince to Seacouver, the city where his Immortal clansman Duncan MacLeod lived. Duncan was, in fact, Quince's next target. He was at the time living with his girlfriend Tessa Noël and had retired from The Game. After some indecisive meetings with Quince, Duncan decided to return to The Game and face him in order to protect Tessa, whom Quince had unsuccessfully attacked. Connor got to Quince first, and they fought on Soldier's Bridge. After being scarred in the face by Connor, Quince realized he couldn't win and shot Connor with the projectile hidden in his sword. Connor fell dead from the bridge into the river. Duncan soon arrived and was able to defeat and behead Quince and rescue Connor from the river.
