Slalomboard
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Slalomboard is a flexible-board skateboard, usually 60-80 cm long, with great maneuvering capability.
It has a property that the rider can brake or propel the board without touching the ground. This is achieved by correct body weight placement, together with short, intense swings (sometimes referred to as "pumping").
Sometimes hooks are fastened to the end, which act as a kind of hardware accelerator for jump. The rider can easily jump obstacless with less effort than with an Ollie on a usual skateboard.
Slalomboard is practical as a means of city transportation since the board can be taken easily into public transport vehicles and ridden on sidewalks.
