Slade in Flame was an album by the British glam/hardrock group Slade. It was released November 29, 1974 and contain the songs from the movie "Slade In Flame". The album reached #6 on the English album chart, and had two hit singles pulled from it. The band tried to make the album have a 'sixties' feel to it as the movie it was accompanying was set in 1966. Critics lauded this record, but the public didn't buy it in the droves they had done with their previous efforts. Funnily enough, the album hit stores in time for the 1974 christmas rush, but this did little to help make this a huge seller. In February, their record company released 'How Does It Feel?' as a single, and it was their first single not to reach the Top 10. It stalled at #15, but has since then been said to be their finest song.
