Whatever Happened to Slade? | Slade Alive, Vol. 2 | Return to base
|
Slade Alive, Vol. 2 is a live album by the British glam/hardrock group Slade. It was released October 27, 1978 and did not enter the charts.
Critics praised the album, saying the music was great and played better than ever. But they were puzzled as to why this album was named Slade Alive Vol. 2, as they knew (as well as the band's members) it wouldn't come close to matching the amazing sales of their first live album. Nevertheless, it got released, and amounted to nothing. There were also plans to release Be (Stand Up!, Stand Up!) as a single, but it never eventuated.
