[edit] First appearance
Skye Chandler first appeared on All My Children as Antoinette Patterson Chandler, known as "Skye" the alcoholic daughter of tycoon Adam Chandler and his first ex.wife Althea Patterson Chandler. Adam abandoned Skye and her mother when she was five. Skye's mother Althea was mentally ill and gave her little attention. She returned to Pine Valley as a troubled woman and was jealous of the attention that Adam gave to her half-siblings.
[edit] Different soap operas
[edit] All My Children
On All My Children, Skye was married to Tom Cudahy and Dr. Jonathan Kinder. Many adventures and disastrous relationships followed for Skye on three different soap operas. Skye eventually learned that she had been illegally adopted by Althea who had convinced Adam that Skye was their child. Skye's biological mother was Rae Cummings, who while searching for her birthdaughter discovered she was illegally adopted as well and that her own biological mother was Myrtle Fargate, the beloved landlady on All My Children.
At first Rae told Skye that her biological father was Alan Quartermaine of Port Charles and Alan's father Edward had paid Rae to give Skye up. Obviously there was some merit of truth to this and Alan and Rae had some teenage relationship because he never denied there being the possibility of his being Skye's birthfather and Edward must have paid Rae monies back then or he would have readily denied it when she reappeared all these years later. Skye was however accepted by the Quartermaine family and developed ties with them, particularly her presumed half-brother A.J. Eventually it came out that Rae had lied (or was she mistaken and had indeed thought up until that time that Alan was the father), but Alan wasn't actually the father. Her true biological father has never been revealed, but Alan chose to adopt the adult Skye as his daughter, terminating her previous adoption by Adam and Althea Chandler. While she still calls herself Skye Chandler Quartermaine occasionally, her legal name is Skye Chandler, as has been verified on the show.
[edit] One Life to Live
On One Life to Live she was married to Ben Davidson. Later, after her divorce was finalized, she had an affair with perennial con artist Max Holden. she was the nanny of Todd Manning's daughter Starr Manning.
[edit] General Hospital
On General Hospital, Skye has been married to Jasper "Jax" Jacks and has had long-term relationships with Ned Ashton, a Quartermaine cousin, and Luke Spencer. She had a one night stand with Luis Alcazar and a short term relationship with sleazy strip club owner Coleman. After years of thinking she could not have children of her own, she discovered that she was pregnant by Luis's brother Lorenzo Alcazar. She left town for a time, fearing she could not trust him, but he has vowed to be part of their baby's life. She recently gave birth to a daughter whom she named Lila Rae in honor of Lila Quartermaine and her own birth mother Rae Cummings.
