Sunrise is the breakfast time programme on Sky News between 6:00am and 9:00am on weekdays and 6:00am to 10:00am on weekends. It was first aired in February 1989. Since February 2007, the weekday episodes of the show have been called Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes, as Holmes now presents the show largely on his own aided with news updates with Charlotte Hawkins. The weekend editions continue to be called Sunrise.

At the channel's relaunch on 24 October 2005, Eamonn Holmes and Lorna Dunkley became the regular presenters of the weekday editions of the show, with Jacquie Beltrao providing Sports updates. On 15 January 2007, Lorna Dunkley moved to the channels weekend coverage. She was replaced by Charlotte Hawkins. On Friday, the presenters of the show are Mark Longhurst and Emma Crosby, whilst on Saturday, Longhurst is joined by Helen Fospero and on Sunday, Samantha Simmonds. Charlie Thomas provides sports updates on weekends.

The show typically includes a roundup of overnight news developments, coverage of breaking stories, a look at the morning's newspapers and a look ahead to expected developments later in the day. Usually there is also a considerable amount of light-hearted banter between the hosts. The format is subject to change in the event of major breaking news.

From Monday 26 February 2007, Sunrise will be simulcast on Sky One Monday-Friday.
