Sky Magazine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sky Magazine (or 'Sky Mag') is the magazine distributed to subscribers of the UK BSkyB satellite service Sky Digital.

[edit] Availability
The magazine is available to subscribers of the 6-mix television package or higher.
[edit] Price
The magazine has a theoretical price of £2 'where sold'. Sky takes this out of the subscription fee. So if your fee was £30.00 per month, £28 would go towards your television, and £2 would go towards the magazine.[citation needed] It is impossible to opt out of the magazine and have your subscription price reduced, however you can choose to not have the magazine delivered.
[edit] Content
The magazines content varies from edition to edition, but on average will include:
- Interviews with celebrities
- Television listings & guide for Sky Movie and Sports channels
- Program reviews and recommended viewing guides
- Sky servies, Adult channels and premium services advertising
- Informing customers of service updates, pricing changes etc.
In recent years, popular consensus is that the quality of the content has decreased, and what was once a quality magazine, has lost channel guides, detailed channel listings and more quality interviews and program-related articles.[citation needed]
[edit] Spin Off Magazines
Sky has recently launched Sky Kids, Sky Sports and Sky movies magazines, available to the relevant subscribers.
