[edit] History
In December 1994, two TCI entrepreneurs, Harold Charles & John Shearer, joined forces putting together a hangar facility and 2 small piston-engine aircraft to form a small charter airline called TCI SkyKing Ltd.
This creation flew its first revenue flight within the domestic TCI in January 1995, and from that humble beginning the company grew; within a few short years the destinations grew as did the aircraft used by the company. In 1996 scheduled services began using a mixed fleet of eight comprising of C400/Piper 23 aircraft, and then a Shorts 360 aircraft was added.
As scheduled services grew, the company began to streamline the type of aircraft being used and increased the quality, reliability and comfort by introducing the Beechcraft 1900C’s, these aircraft finally replaced all other types and the D-model was introduced in the early 2000’s to further enhance the product.
