[edit] History
[edit] Background
Skrape released two albums through RCA records. Their debut album New Killer America was released in 2001 with two singles ("Waste" and "Isolated") eventually hitting the airwaves across America. Skrape toured with the likes of Pantera, Slayer and Morbid Angel in support of the album. It sold approximately 100,000+ copies in the United States.
Their sophomore album Up the Dose was released in 2004, and steered away from their debut's nu metal sound. Several months after releasing the record, the band parted ways with their label – who had recently been taken over by J Records. The band member's moved on to other projects, and they ultimately disbanded.
[edit] After Skrape
In 2004, drummer Will Hunt became a member of the "supergroup" Dark New Day – which features former members of doubleDrive, Stereomud and Sevendust. Bassist Brian "Brix" Milner went on to join Chicago industrial band dope, and singer Billy Keeton has continued to pursue his musical career with various projects, such as the highly anticipated but short-lived Blessed in Black (featuring former members of Nothingface). Currently, Keeton does vocals for local Florida cover band Money Shot when he is not working with former members of Primer 55 in Bobby Burns (Soulfly) and Kobie Jackson. Formerly titled Paris is Burning, the three have named the project King Street.
