Skoryy class destroyer

The Skoryy class were the first destroyers built for the Soviet Navy after the end of World War II. 70 (seventy) ships were built between 1949 and 1953. The ships were derived from the Project 30 Ognevoy class destroyer, but were slightly larger with better sea-keeping. The ships were modernised in the 1950's with new anti-aircraft guns and anti-submarine mortars. The Soviet Designation was Project 30bis.

- 4 - 130 mm guns (2 B-2LM twin turrets)
- 2 - 85 mm guns (1 twin turret)
- 7 - 37 mm AA guns
- 10 - 533mm torpedo tubes (2 x 5)
- 60 mines or 52 depth charges
- Modernisation included removing one set of torpedo tubes, replacing the 37mm guns with 57mm guns and adding RBU 2500 anti submarine mortars
- Crew: 286

70 ships were built for both the Soviet navy and for export, exported ships were:
- Egyptian Navy - six ships
- Indonesian Navy - seven ships
- Polish Navy - 2 ships
The Soviet ships were decommisioned and scrapped between 1965 and 1984
