Kilpisjärvi is not the "northernmost community" in Finland by far. It's the northernmost place in Finland's western arm but Finland's head stretches further north. The northernmost inhabitated place in Finland is Nuorgam, which mainly consists of a shop serving as a tourist attraction to southern Finns and a cheap place to shop for Norwegians.
