Talk:Ski pole

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First line: "Ski poles are a crucial piece of equiptment to all the various types of skiing, " Are you sure? I thought that ski jumping was performed empty-handed. (I am not an expert, so correct me if I'm wrong) --PRB 14:44, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Leki link

I have no idea why there is a little space after the Leki link. Can someone look into that and see why that space is occurring? Also, is it acceptable to specifically talk about the products of these two ski pole companies. Would you consider it advertising or simply discussing the different models of poles that are available for purchase? Aurora (Say hi!)[[]] 15:15, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)

This article does not seem encyclopedic to me at all. It seems like an advertisement out of a cataloug or something. I needs to be changed significantly. The link to the outside site should not be inline in the article, it should be in a seperate seciton at the end. Various other formating issues exist. I'll have a go at it I guess. マイケル 15:37, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)

Aurora, please don't be offended, but I have restored an original sentence near the beginning, it was really clearer. Partly, it was your typo that I couldn't figure (crutial), but it was also the whole sentence linking there. I agree it still sounds like advertising. Bishonen 22:54, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

And no, I agree with everybody that we can't have the two companies. It's a pretty cool article, except for that. I've removed it. Sorry to undo your work on the outside links, マイケル , but I really thought they had to go as well. Bishonen 23:00, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

This entry looks a lot better now. Aurora (Say hi!)[[]] 01:45, Aug 23, 2004 (UTC)
