Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

January 13, 1977 Thursday afternoon. The gang is in the basement anticipating their weekend ski trip in Alpine Valley at Jackie's cabin. Eric's excited because he'll get a chance to make-out with Donna, Hyde is excited that they're leaving town, and Fez is excited that he's going to see snow for the first time. Kelso comes in excited revealing that he just kissed Pam Macy, a well known slut, behind the gym in front of everyone. A couple minutes later Jackie comes in upset at Kelso and breaks up with him. She then lets him know that the ski trip is still on, but he won't be coming.

As the gang gets ready to go Red hands them an emergency roadside kit. Kelso comes up expecting them to just fake that they're going and pull off a "burn" (the first use of "burn"), but they keep going.

The gang is driving along talking when they skid and the wheels get stuck in the snow. Eric, looking for inspiration, envisions his dad telling him how to get out of it, which he does.

Back at home Kelso is sitting in the basement moping when Kitty comes down. Kelso tells her that he's upset that Eric left without him and that Jackie will never forgive him. Kitty tells him she forgave Red once twenty years ago after kissing and groping Lynn Taylor in the movie theater. Red has prepared a very romantic setup and Kitty comes in telling Red that he's full of crap. Kelso hitches a ride with a trucker named Gus, who hits on him, unbeknown to Kelso.

When the gang reaches the cabin Jackie is already upset that she broke up with Kelso and is starting to cry, Fez has gotten unbearably cold, and Jackie tells Eric and Donna they can have the bedroom much to their delight. Hyde gives Fez a bottle of Amaretto which he chugs exclaiming that its liquid candy and is warmed immediately. He then runs outside in his underwear to go make a snow angel. Eric and Donna are starting to kiss when they can't help but overhear Jackie's crying. They stop and go see Hyde just reading a Spy versus Spy and Jackie blubbering. Eric tells Hyde to either console Jackie or go find Fez, he chooses Jackie and Eric goes to look for Fez. Hyde says something insensitive and Jackie runs off crying, so Hyde and Donna are left alone. Donna tells him that she's here for Eric and not him and he needs to accept it. Hyde then tells her he doesn't want to hit on his best friend's girl but he can't help it so he kisses her. Donna shoves him away, slaps him, and runs out.

Eric is looking for Fez when Gus lets Kelso off and the two reunite with apologies to see Fez finally crash into the snow. They bring Fez back to the cabin passed out and Jackie is more than excited to see Kelso which she leaps in his arms and they start kissing on their way to the bedroom.

Back at home Red asks what is really bothering Kitty, because it can't just be about Lynn Taylor. She asks him why he never manhandled her in a public place. Red then tells her that he's not like that, in public he treats the woman he loves with respect and manhandles her in private and he describes their honeymoon so they kiss.
