Ski Butternut is known as a

The mountain offers a 1000 foot vertical, 22 trails, 10 lifts, 3 of which are Quad ChairLifts, 2 Terrain Parks, a PSIA Affiliated Ski School, over 2000 Sets of Rental skis and snowbaords, a Childrens day care center for non skiers ages 6 months to 8 years, a Tubing Center. The ski area is close to NYC about 2.5 hours and very accessable to most of CT about an hour from Hartford. 100% Snowmaking coverage, impeccable Grooming and the fact that it offers affordable skiing and riding is what make this family mountain stand out in the NorthEast region.
