Sithel Silvanos was the second Speaker of the Stars, leader of the Silvanesti elves in the fictional series of Dragonlance novels. He was the son of Silvanos Goldeneye, founder of Silvanesti. He married Nirakina Silvermoon, and she had twin boys; Kith-Kanan and Sithas Silvanos. Sithel had blonde hair in his early days which later became gray, and he had light brown eyes.
[edit] Life
Sithel was known to have been involved in the Second Dragon War in his early days, assisting his father. His exact role is not known, however; he may have been a soldier, or perhaps he served in another role.
When he was Speaker, Sithel proclaimed the marriage of Hermathya and Kith-Kanan without asking their consent. This angered Kith-Kanan, and he then fled the country for the western lands. Sithel initially was the presider over the talks with the Empire of Ergoth and dwarves, but he grew older and tired, allowing his son Sithas to take over the talks eventually. Kith-Kanan eventually came back to the capital and negotiated peace with the Empire. Sithel named him general of the new Silvanesti army, and later in Kith-Kanan's travels Kith-Kanan would establish the city of Sithelbec, which was named for Sithel. When Sithel arrived to see the new city, he went hunting with Kith-Kanan. The hunt took a horrific turn, though, when Sithel was assassinated, thus beginning the Kinslayer Wars. Sithas was then named Speaker. Years later, Kith-Kanan would remember his father by dedicating a tower of Qualinost to him.
