[edit] General Info

I'm Sir Lewk, or as others may know me, Lewk of Serthic.

I have for some time, been involved in multiple TI graphing calculator communities including ticalc.org and ti-news. Beyond calculators, my interests include math and programming, mainly in C, though I am also familiar with C++, Java, and Python.

[edit] Clubs/Groups

I'm a member of the Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Making Broad Judgments About the Worthiness of a General Category of Article, and Who Are in Favor of the Deletion of Some Particularly Bad Articles, but That Doesn't Mean They Are Deletionist

I am also a former member of the since dissolved Esperanza. I view its failure as an unfortunate loss.

[edit] Information and Controversy Boxes

You may have taken notice to my Information and Controversy Boxes to the right. These brightly colored boxes of random or unneeded information tend to have the uncanny ability to get people rather offended or annoyed. Many people go so far as to suggest their removal from wikipedia and it has been suggested that they create a myspace-esk environment. Despite this, I prefer to keep mine around for a couple reasons. The first and foremost is perhaps the simplest, they are colorful, and they are rectangles. I like colorful rectangles. Call me crazy. Secondly, and perhaps more significantly, they take up space. They 'squish' my text over to the left making it appear as though I have typed more about myself. This (and the addition of color) make it seem as though I have spent plenty of time cultivating my userpage, lending to the belief that I am dedicated to wikipedia (which I am). Lastly, they do indeed preform the function of informing people of my beliefs/talents. I find that such a basic understanding of each other contributes greatly to the quality of work a group of individuals can achieve.

[edit] What is "Serthic"?

"Serthic" in the sense that I use it is implying a location. Think of Joan of Arc, from the region near the river Arc, or Jesus of Nazareth. In truth, it is not a place, but a series of random letters created by a random word generator I coded in BASIC for my TI-83+
