From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sirogojno is a village in Serbia, located on Mt. Zlatibor. Sirogojno offers a variety of interesting activities including fashion shows of knitwear hand-made by female residents of Mt. Zlatibor, evenings by the fire and summer school for learning traditional crafts such as pottery, knitting, mosaic-making and graphic skills.
Also in Sirogojno is an open air museum, or ethno village, known as the "Old Village" Museum (Serbian: Muzej "Staro selo"), covering nearly 15 hectares and containing authentic elements of ordinary life collected from all over the Zlatibor region from the 19th century for observation. The ethno village displays a set of old traditional wooden houses, including a bakery, a dairy, and an inn, all in authentic form.
