[edit] Synopsis
The Siren, who preys on married men and their wives, attacks a future whitelighter named Melissa, whom Cole saves from the fire the Siren left her in. The Siren then attacks Leo as he watches over Melissa in the Hospital. Meanwhile, Piper's powers are on the fritz, as her baby turns her power of molecular combustion into fireworks. She hears a "beautiful" song that compells her to the hospital, where she and Paige find the Siren and Leo kissing. Pleased at Piper's presence the Siren breaks her kiss to attack Piper. When Piper attempts to attack back flowers appear over the Siren's head, letting the Siren escape. Angry with Leo not just for kissing the Siren (as he was under her spell) but also never being around for her and the baby, Piper argues with Leo. While Paige looks on, a glow emerges from both parents and they are thrown off their feet. Piper and Leo's powers are switched magically by their unborn baby. Unable to switch the powers back, Phoebe suggests that "you have to learn your lesson first," and that they must "walk a mile in each other's shoes." Because of this Piper becomes a Whitelighter and must perform Leo's duties; while Leo must perform as a Charmed witch AND suffer the effects of pregnancy along with Piper's powers. (Piper states he is not actually carrying the baby, but must suffer the morning sickness, nausea, breast pain, etc.) In the meantime, Paige is sent to look after a frantic Melissa, who escaped the manor and ran into a freeway causing a traffic accident. Paige's initial attempts to calm her down fail, and she has to get advice from Piper and Leo to get into closer touch with her whitlighter side. She encounters Melissa in the police station (thanks to Darryl), and succeeds in calming her down. Cole shows up to warn them of the Siren, but when they reject his help he determines to find the Siren alone. He is trapped by the Siren and her song calls out to Phoebe who searches them out. Because of his demon blood, the Siren cannot kill Cole, but instead her spell makes him turn against Phoebe. Piper and Leo find them just in time as Cole is strangling Phoebe. They are able to vanquish the Siren and the spell on Cole is broken. Using Leo's power, Piper heals Phoebe. Miserable at his actions, Cole leaves. Having experienced a day in the other's lives, Leo and Piper both recognize how hard the other's jobs are and the unborn baby reverses its spell and returns their powers. Cole visits Phoebe at her office to again apologize and remind Phoebe that the Siren's spell was only as powerful as their love for each other. Phoebe admits this, but states his demon blood will always be too dangerous.

[edit] Enemies
- The Siren: As a mortal the Siren fell in love with a married man but when they were caught the man was held blameless. The village women cheered as they burned her to death and her rage turned her into a Siren, an immortal and vengeful demon who seduces married men with her hypnotizing song, then destroys the couples with the very flame that consumed her. She has the power to teleport via a smoke-like effect, create fire, burns peoples insides when she kisses them (this is mostly the husbands), and telekinesis.

- A siren song is an enticing plea. This play comes from The Odyssey, in which the singing of the Sirens lured sailors to their deaths.
- We learn that a Whitelighter speaks whatever language his charge speaks, in this case Piper speaks french.
- We learn Whitelighters hear voices of their charges all the time in their heads.
- Actress Melinda Clarke previously portrayed a magical villain in the Xena: Warrior Princess series as the Amazon turned goddess Velasca.
- Melinda Clarke was offered the role of Tatum Riley in the film Scream but turned it down. Rose McGowan later went on to portray Tatum Riley.

- We can see that Wyatt has the power of thought projection or projection. He demonstrates this by switching Piper and Leo's powers and changing Piper's exploding power into conjuring flowers and fireworks.
- This is the second time Piper heals with Leo's power.
- The WB promo for this episode uses clips of Phoebe from season 4 "Womb Raider", Paige from season 5 "Happily Ever After" and Piper from season 3 "Coyote Piper"
