Sir Thomas Allen, 1st Baronet

Sir Thomas Allen, 1st Baronet (c. 1633 – 15 December 1690) was an English poltician.
The son of William Aleyn and Elizabeth Compton, he was Alderman of Cheap Ward from 1652 to 1660, and of Aldergate from 1660 to 1679. He was further an Alderman of Bridge Without from 1679 to 1683 and also from 1689 to 1690. Allen was Sheriff of London between 1654 and 1655 and Lord Mayor of London between 1659 to 1660.
He was made a Baronet, of Totteridge in the County of Middlesex on 14 June 1660, having been knighted the month before. From 1661 to 1679, Allen was Member of Parliament (MP) for Middlesex. In 1673 or 1674, he became a member of Gray's Inn. He was buried in Totteridge.
Around 1684, he married Elizabeth Birch. They had one son, Thomas Allen.
