Sir Syed College

Sir Syed College is a Post Graduate institution affiliated to the University of Kannur in Kerala, south India and run by the Kannur District Muslim Educational Association. Muslims in Kannur District and Taliparamba Taluk in particular were educationally backward and the College was established mainly to cater to the educational needs of Muslims of this region. The college is named after Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the pioneeer of Muslim Educational Movement of India.

The College started functioning as a Junior College in June, 1967.
