Sir Raven is a fictional character in the animated television series The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Sir Raven is voiced by Julian Stone.

[edit] Overview

Sir Raven's commentary is done in the style of Alistair Cooke from Masterpiece Theatre. he is a hostile British anthropomorphic raven who hosts two episodes, "Tricycle of Terror" and "My Fair Mandy." He wears a fez, a bathrobe, and carries a golden, jewel-encrusted goblet. Typically he sits by a fire, with a cat nearby, in a library decked out in Edwardian fashion, and comments on the episode at hand. He usually states that he doesn't care for the events which he hosts and yells loudly at the audience (see quotes below) for no particular reason. During these outbursts, Sir Raven is given an emphatic close-up.

Sir Raven appears to be a spoof of Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven." He may also be a spoof of Bullwinkle in some of the Mr. Know-it-All and Bullwinkle's Corner segments of Rocky and His Friends.
