Sir Hugh Arbuthnot, 7th Baronet

Sir Hugh Fitzgerald Arbuthnot, 7th Baronet (2 January 1922 – 3 July 1983) was a Scottish soldier and baronet.
The son of Brigadier Sir Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 5th Baronet and Alice Maud Arbuthnot was educated at Kingsmead College, Sussex and Eton College Berkshire. Arbuthnot served in the Welsh Guards and fought in the Second World War, receiving the rank of Captain. From 1948 to 1952, he was Master of Foxhounds of Ludlow, of Cotswold from 1952 to 1964, and to the Duke of Buccleuch's from 1964 to 1980.

Arbuthnot married firstly Elizabeth Kathleen Williams, daughter of Squadron Leader George Gilbert Algernon Williams on 17 August 1949 and secondly Julia Grace Peake, only daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Frederick Gerard Peake in September 1977. By his first wife, he had three children:
- Christian Aline Arbuthnot (b. 1950), married Geoffrey John Morley in 1973
- Sir Keith Robert Charles Arbuthnot, 8th Baronet (b. 1951)
- David William Patrick Arbuthnot (b. 1953), married Diane Yeomans, daughter of John Yeomans on 12 March 1988
