Sir Cecil Creape was a Nashville, Tennessee based television horror host on WSM-Tv channel 4 from 1970-1973. Sir Cecil Creape was the host of Creature Feature, and was played by actor Russ McCown. Sir Cecil Creape was very popular in the Middle Tennessee area and had a huge following. In the 1980s Russ brought the character back on on the small screen on cable television, this time on TNN in a nationally broadcast program called "The Phantom of the Opry."

Sir Cecil Creape made many local appearances, and had a huge following, even inspiring another Nashville horror host to follow in his footsteps, Dr Gangrene[1] who wrote an article about his predecessor for Outre magazine, the full text of which can be read on Dr. Gangrene's website[2].
