[edit] soulseek userbox
Hiya. Ive just created a new (and better, imo) userbox for soulseek and i thought is share it. you can look at it here. this new box allows you to share your soulseek username in the box itself. also, it adds your userpage to a category called "soulseek users". if you dont like the box but you want to be in the catergory just add [[Category: Soulseek users]]. anyhoo, just thought id let you know. -(chubbstar)— talk | contrib | 06:25, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Andrew Wilson Mr. Estep English II HP November 13, 2006 Irony
Remained Loyalty After World War II, it was found that “the 442nd Regiment is the most decorated unit in U.S. military history.” This is ironic because ut would be expected that this unit this unit would have only a few awards, due to the way America treated them in the camps. It is also ironic that the Japanese Americans remained very loyal to the United States. Even after life in the detainment camps, “the Japanese American soldiers managed to earn the most awards out of any military unit in U.S military history. The Disposable Regiment
On the morning of October 27, 1944, the 442nd were radioed by the general. They were told to “push uphill into the face of the German artillery and machine guns”. This was part of the “Rescue of the Lost Battalion” mission where the 442nd were given the assignment to rescue 275 Texan soldiers from behind enemy lines. The General’s orders were ironic because this would have likely resulted in many casualties and defeat. Also ironic was the fact that the general saw the 442nd as being disposable, despite all their success.
The First Concentration Camp: Dachau
The first concentration camp was established on March 22, 1942. It was known as Dachau and it provided itself as the prototype for the concentration camps. Howeverm “Dachau was not a death camp.” Whilst people were not killed directly, the people there were worked to death and suffered from starvation and disease. Later concentration camps, such as Auschwitz worked on directly killing people through poisons like Zyklon B. Despite this, Dachau really was a death camp, but just working under the moniker of a “work camp”.
Whilst the statement, “The liberation of Dahcau reminds us that we must insure that these atrocities never happen again by making sure that people never forget,” is true, it is ironic. Through many medias, we are constantly reminded of the horrors of German death camps. However, the mention of the U.S.s camps are seldom mentioned. Despite the fact that the U.S. camps were far less worse then German camps, they should still be noted and never forgotten. Both of those historical events show times where powerful governments
