[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:John Edwards.jpg)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:John Edwards.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
Image:Edwards senate.jpg is a free alternative, so I've substituted it for Image:John Edwards.jpg. — Rebelguys2 talk 03:52, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ali Karimi fair use image
Hi Sina. Could you please have a look at the image for Ali Karimi. It has been modified and, as a result, tagged for deletion. I just reverted the modification. Siba 10:23, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:JohnEdwards Senate.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:JohnEdwards Senate.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Andranik Teymourian and Bolton Wanderers F.C.
Please do not add this player to the Bolton squad. He may be on trial but so are 8 or 9 other players. Only put him in if and when he signs. Thank you. (Pally01 21:58, 26 July 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Iran football project
Hello. I want to start a Iranian football project on Wikipedia, similiar to the Cinema of Iran Wikiproject. There is alot to be done, and I think if more people knew about it, we could get alot more correct information on the pages. I know there should be at least a couple of people who are willing to help. I just need to know how I can get it started, and what I need to do. Thanks.

[edit] link to Persian
When you want to link to the article about something Persian, please do not link to Persian, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as Persian people, Persian language, or Iran, by writing out [[Persian language|Persian]] or [[Iran|Persian]]. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ned Lamont 2006.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Ned Lamont 2006.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 15:25, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Ramona.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ramona.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok 03:43, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Karimi Asia.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Karimi Asia.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
Thank you. --Panarjedde 15:35, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:JRE 2007.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:JRE 2007.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thank you.
