Cap. {{{1}}} This template inserts a link to the on-line version of a current Singapore statute on Singapore Statutes Online, a service of the Attorney-General's Chambers of Singapore.

This is how the template works. Use the following syntax:

{{Singapore Statute|#|Act}}

"#" is the chapter number of the statute, e.g., Cap. 295 for the Singapore Armed Forces Act. Trailing alphabets are okay. The optional parameter "Act" is the short title (or 'name') of the Act.

Thus, "{{Singapore Statute|295|Singapore Armed Forces Act}}" will produce the output "Singapore Armed Forces Act, Cap. 295".

The template currently does not display citations in the correct format for Singapore statutes that do not have chapter numbers, even if such statutes are available from Singapore Statutes Online. It is suggested that full hyperlinks be provided for such statutes, as follows:

  • Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (1999 Reprint): [http://statutes.agc.gov.sg/non_version/cgi-bin/cgi_retrieve.pl?actno=REVED-CONST Constitution of the Republic of Singapore] (1999 Reprint).
