[edit] University of Miami
Moss played collegiate football at the University of Miami, where he was a standout wide receiver with one of the country's most successful collegiate football programs.
[edit] 7th floor crew
At the University of Miami, Moss was quoted publicly on the team's "7th Floor Crew" scandal, in which several University of Miami football players played a role in the recording of a lewd rap music song[1]. "That's something that they did like two years ago. A couple of the freshmen and older guys made a rap song. It was a really cool song", Moss told ESPN[2].
[edit] New York Giants
Moss was selected with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami.
The Giants expect to groom Moss to be their number three wide receiver in 2006 and let him evolve into the number two option in the future. They also believe Moss has the moves and speed to be an outstanding punt and kick returner on Giants' special teams.
Moss's first season with the Giants has been marred by a quadriceps injury that forced him to miss all but a handful of days of training camp. Moss was finally deemed healthy enough to play in the second game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he caught one pass for four yards in his first NFL game before reinjuring his quadricep. The injury has kept Moss out of the lineup until recently. He had one catch for 10 yards in a losing effort against the Dallas Cowboys.
[edit] Personal
Moss is the younger brother of Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss, who was also a standout wide receiver for the University of Miami prior to entering the NFL.
