Singshot.com is a karaoke website designed to allow its users to choose from a vast selection of music then record their own versions. Members use a microphone connected to a computer record themselves along with the site's karaoke player. There is no provision for transposing, so all songs must be recorded in the same key.

There are many user created contests, although usually not for monetary prizes, just for "bragging rights". Members are allowed to rate other member's performances on a five star scale and can leave "feedback" on the performances.

It was listed as one of Time's Coolest Websites in 2006.
