Singsås

Singsås is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. From 1837 is was a part of Holtaalen formannskapsdistrikt.

Singsås was separated from Holtålen in 1841, creating a municipality of its own. At this point Singsås had a population of 1 272.

On January 1, 1964 Singsås was merged with the municipalities Budal, Soknedal and Støren to form the new municipality Midtre Gauldal. Before the merger Singsås had a population of 1 554.

The Gaula, Rørosbanen and Riksvei 30 passes through Singsås.
