Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise

Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) is a company engaged in Commercial Aircraft Sales and Leasing, with headquarters in Singapore and offices in the UK and USA. The company provides operating lease and fleet financing solutions for airlines. SALE-owned aircraft are currently in service with airlines in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.
SALE currently owns 72 aircraft with an average age of approximately five years. The fleet is principally composed of aircraft from the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 and 777 series.
SALE used to be jointly owned by four shareholders. Singapore Airlines Group and German bank WestLB each hold 35.5% of the company, while Singapore government investment agencies Temasek Holdings and GIC each have a 14.5% share. On 15 December 2006, Bank of China bought over the entire SALE for US$980m. [1].
