Sindhanur (Kannada:ಸಿಂಧನೂರು) is one of the major taluks (administrative divisions) in Raichur District, Karnataka, India. It has a vast area of paddy fields irrigated by water from the Tunga Bhadra left bank canal.

Sindhnur is a town in Raichur district in the Indian state of Karnataka.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Sindhnur had a population of 61,292. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Sindhnur has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 63%, and female literacy is 44%. In Sindhnur, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
