Sincronizada

In Mexican cuisine, a tortilla-based sandwich frequently confused with quesadillas, due to its resemblance to "quesadillas" sold in the US (US quesadillas are usually made with tortillas rather than molded from masa in the Mexican style).

Sincronizadas (so called because the top and bottom tortilla are "synchronized" together) sandwich ingredients between two tortillas, which is then grilled. One of the ingredients is normally cheese, to stick the two tortillas together.
