Sinate is a New Zealand metal band. Their debut album, Beyond Human released on the 27th of September, 2005. Beyond Human was recorded in just 11 days at York St Studios. They have gone under the name Desecrator before.
The band disbanded when Sam Sheppard joined 8 Foot Sativa, New Zealand's premier death metal band. Later Matt Sheppard also joined 8 Foot Sativa. However in June 2005, Matt & Sam Sheppard left 8 Foot Sativa to reforge Sinate. Joining them would be 8 Foot Sativa guitar tech Sean Parkinson, and former Reprobate member, Antony 'Colonel' Folwell.
Since the release of their debut album, SINATE has taken over the mantle as New Zealand's top metal band. In January 2007, Sinate played the annual Big Day out festival, with 44,000 in attendance.
2007 Touring - Sinate will kick off a New Zealand tour on February 17 opening for the legendary death metal band SUFFOCATION. They will headline shows around the country before returning to another support slot with SLAYER. There will be an Australian tour later in the year and possibly shows in the US & Europe.
Sinate have secured a distribution deal in Australia and the debut album is expected to launch Feb/March 2007. Sinate are also in negotiation with several labels to secure a deal for the rest of the world.
