Sin (born Francesco Ioele on June 6, 1986 in Belgrade, Serbia, then Yugoslavia) is a rapper and co-CEO of 1389 Records. He is best known for his first project DJ Vlad Presents: Sizzerb Mixtape Vol. 1 which sold over 12,000 units independently in 2005.[1] His first single "Thanks To Me" featuring Cam'ron, Jay Bezel & Tom Gist of The Diplomats, as well the Purple City remix of the same song got heavy radio play throughout USA and Canada in late 2005 and early 2006. He went on to release Big Mike, Nu Jerzey Devil & Watsman Present: Sizzerb Mixtape Vol. 2 - Sin's City in March of 2006. The same month he released a separate Serbian - English collaboration with the Belgrade rap group V.I.P. entitled 1389 Records/Bassivity Music Present: Rane Mixtape Vol. 1. The Album/Mixtape was highly successful despite a lack of promotion and debuted at #19 on Serbian domestic charts.[2]

In the summer of 2006 it was rumored that Sin was on the verge of signing to So So Def. He confirmed these rumours in interviews with AllHipHop.com,[3] as well as Objektiv magazine.[4] [5] He also appeared on the front cover of кишобран (kišobran).[6] The interviews also created controversy and friction with Albanians because of Sin's political stance on Kosovo. During an Australian interview with Stadium Music Sin was quoted as saying " I'd like to give one big shout out to Steve Irwin the muthafuckin crocodile hunter RIP! We don't like pigeons and we don't like stingrays refering to his dislike of Albanians and the tragic death of Steve Irwin.[7] Albanian rappers capitalized on this and released numerous tracks attacking him. Sin almost immediately responded by launching a clothing line called " No Pigeons " which many saw as anti-Albanian due to a previous reference by Sin in which he stated the double-headed eagle on the Albanian flag was in fact a "burnt pigeon".

In December 2006 after an attack on a Serb who was wearing a No Pigeons T-Shirt by an Albanian, Sin launched a petition to legally change the name of Albanians to Pigeons because Sin thought the attack was a result of Albanians not having come to terms with their new name. If 10 000 people signed the petition it would be presented to the UN, However only about 600 signatures have been gained to date.[8] [9]

In October 2006, Sin released his 4th mixtape, Team Invasion, DJ Kurupt & DJ Scream Present: Sizzerb Mixtape Vol. 3 - Opium Garden, this mixtape features Dipset, Young Jeezy, Nas and others. He stated his final mixtape would be released before 2007. However according to 1389 Records CEO L.P Corbett Sin slipped on some ice and damaged his shoulder meaning the release of his final mixtapes had to be put back to mid 2007.[10]

Sin immigrated to Canada in 1994 at age 8 because of the Civil war in Yugoslavia. Sin is also the nephew of Simo Dubajic

[edit] Sizzerb Clothing

Sizzerb Clothing - No Pigeons is a clothing line created and launched by Sin and Sizzerb. The clothing line was launched in 2006 and is seen by many to be an attack on Albanians in Kosovo due to the Serbian-Albanian conflict and the ongoing battle for Kosovo's future Status after the 1999 Kosovo War. During an interview with stadium net Sin was quoted as saying that No Pigeons simply meant Kosovo is Serbian. [13]

[edit] Clothing Logo

Sizzerb Clothing - No Pigeons has two main logos, the first being the word Sizzerb written in red, blue and white, the colours of the Serbian Flag.[14]

The second logo is a traditional Pigeon with a Kufi on its head inside a "No" sign. [15]

[edit] T-Shirts

Sizzerb Clothing - No Pigeons has two types of T-Shirts. One featuring the Sizzerb logo on a white background and another featuring the No Pigeons logo on a black background. A No Pigeons T-Shirt was also made without the kufi on the pigeons head.
