From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sinéad Lohan is an Irish singer and songwriter of folk music and folk-inspired popular music.

She has released two albums, Who Do You Think I Am in 1995, and No Mermaid in 1998, both of which enjoyed moderate success in Ireland, the U.K., and the U.S..

No Mermaid, the title track of the afore mentioned album was also featured in the movie 'Message in a Bottle'.

The song No Mermaid was also performed by Joan Baez on her 1997 release Gone from Danger, in which the folk legend nurtured the next generation of singer-songwriters by performing their works.

The progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek covered her song Out Of The Woods on their 2000 album.

Since the birth of her baby in 2001 she has not appeared or produced a new album. Her former website, unedited since 2001, had said that she was working on a new album, but nothing as yet has appeared.

In 2004, Sinead teamed up with producer Malcolm Burn. Production of the new album is complete as of January 2007, and the album release is to be in 2007.
