[edit] 8-Bit Theater
8-Bit Theater won the 2002 Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards for "Best Fantasy Comic", 1 and was, in part, the subject of a 2004 Wired article. 2 The real problem, I think, is the number of sub-articles it spawned — the characters, Light Warriors, and plot synopsis articles are unnecessary fancruft. Feezo (Talk) 01:05, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- The encyclopaedic notability of these articles is definitely a thing to be discussed, but obviously this will be difficult if we don't know your arguments, Simon. --R. Wolff 08:45, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: Steve Scherf AfD
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for your thoughtful response at this AfD. It's only the third AfD I've ever nom'd, and since I'm 50/50 so far, I'm somewhat lacking in self-confidence. However, this is the first AfD that I've actually felt strongly about; I really think the project is better off without it, so I really appreciate that you were willing to consider the details and change your original comment. Thanks again, and happy editing! Doc Tropics 20:10, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gracenote
Just wondering why you removed the edit war template? There clearly is an edit war still. (Though it's a template I'd never seen on any article before and was wondering where it came from) ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 20:46, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- I see. Well, I wonder who re-created it. I think I'll nominate it for deletion again. When I first saw it on the article I thought it was a bit odd that it was there (Like I said, I'd never seen it before). The only reason I left it was because it is true. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 21:16, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for doing a great job mediating at the Gracenote article. I have tried to find proper sources for the statements in the article. I am relatively new to this, so any advice you have will be appreciated! Fatandhappy 17:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello and thanks again for the kind words and your efferts at Gracenote. What kind of info do you need to support that the GPL is applicable in this case? The GNU organization's site is the source of the GPL license, so I thought it would be the most authoritative place to get info. Your advice is appreciated. Also, found a link to an Escient press release that claims that Microsoft was using CDDB when Escient purchased CDDB from Scherf and company - his denials to date regarding this were a bit frustrating since I have up till now been unable to locate that press release. [edit] About my dispute with Brookie.
Hello! As you are offering help to Brookie, you can see our dispute over Brookie's deletion on my article. I consider that article did sustain a drgree of accuracy. It did not meet the reason for deletion as A7. I consider Brookie's action as a hurt to one of the five principles of Five Pillars. Please take concern on this and I am very willing to communicate with you. Thanks! User_name: Hulaa 13:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello., Thank you for your awareness. i am creating one title called Min Sheng Bank, the only private bank of China now. I submitted my article several times because I found it instantly dissappeared, I thought that was a systemic error. But soon I noticed that Brookie constantly deleted that article> I have checked the policy of accuracy on an article. I consider my original one was proper and clear and meet the quality of Wiki. I also checked the reason of deletion. It was noted as A7. Since a speedy deletion occured. I request a cautious treatment on the article I edited. Also, another important title Hua Xia bank was also deleted by Brookie. That article has been there for a period of time and retained good creditability. I request the recovery of this two articles. Thanks a lot! User: hulaa 13:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pool Hopping
Hi Simon. The article Pool Hopping has been deleted, so I can't show you a diff, but you replaced it with the contents of the article Black Cat Bar. I assume that you meant to put a {{db}} tag on it? I don't know how that could have happened by mistake, but you might want to check your JavaScript editing tools. FreplySpang 00:33, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey there, I had headed over to Gracenote to see what I could do to help resolve the disputes and I see that you are already hard at work there. What can I do to help? I can review citations, copyedit, etc - just don't want to duplicate work you may already be doing. --Ars Scriptor 15:30, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to the AMA!
Hello Simonkoldyk, I see that you have decided to join the AMA. I'll be the first to say welcome! We're always in need of more advocates, especially since were backlogged most of the time. Just a few pointers for what we do. We communicate by putting a template on our talk page. The template is {{AMA alerts}}. The AMA also has it's own IRC channel which reports new cases to us, and also new alerts. If you'd like to jump right into a case, you are free to check out WP:AMARQ, which is our new request for advocacy system. The instructions for how the technical part works is on it's talk page. You can also use the AMA userboxes that appear under here. If you have anymore questions about the organization, just ping any advocates talk page, including our coordinator, Steve Caruso. Again, welcome to the AMA! -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 18:29, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Art & War
Calm yourself buddy, I started the Art & War article maybe 2 seconds after you threw a speedy deletion tag on it. i dont even have time to research, i was going to expand it a little and add an infobox to the rest of the papoose mixtapes. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ShinRaTDR2 (talk • contribs) 04:15, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] User:216.165.150.136
Hi, could I ask why you just gave a {{test1}} warning to User:216.165.150.136? He had already received {{test2}} and {{test3}}. It would be much more appropriate to give a {{subst:tel|test4}} at that point. Thanks, Gwernol 02:49, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the welcome, but...
...things appear to be a little more unilateral around here than I had supposed. The one page I had created was marked as a candidate for speedy deletion. I then used the "hangon" tag for what I thought would be further discussion, and started a talk page for it. Upon my return, both the page I had created and my talk page had been vaporized. Are there a select few who determine what is important based only upon their personal interests, or am I missing the boat here?
Thanks, MegaGlide 14:21, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RE: AFD
I've added some reasoning to the AFD. It is spam now, but if it is rewritten, cleanup and written in an encyclopedic tone, it will be fine. Hope you can fix it, I don't have time this week, I'm going on a vacation soon. Terence Ong 17:32, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Save Madness
Sorry, u were one of very few people with an account supporting it on the talk page. I am making a major effort to save the madness combat article. whoever erased it probably just doesn't like it, (god**** beurocracy) The strange part is that no one seems able to prove it's relevence/popularity or come up with any outside media coverage. I say we track down as many websites as possible that contain the series, and find/create links in messages to administrators that prove its popularity (2 million views on newgrounds for #4) just hoping you know more sites than me.
if no longer interested simply ignore. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Schizel (talk • contribs) 21:15, 21 December 2006.
