[edit] POV

"Although independently owned, it is generally considered the mouthpiece of the Cyprus right wing party DISY (Democratic Rally)". Removed since it's considered POV. The newspaper have it's own views in regards to the Cyprus issue. It was considered supporting DISY for some time years ago since it actually did for a period of time. It supported Klerides in 1993 to stop the Ghali set of ideas implementation from Vasiliou and again in 1998 believing that he would bring the S-300 and his opposition wouldn't. After Klerides decision not to bring them it opposed him. In 2003 it rejected Klerides due to his compromises leading to the Annan Plan and showed clear support for Papadopoulos. It supported No to the Annan Plan referendum, daily attacking DISY and it's leadership for supporting it. After the referendum it shows no support for a specific party (clearly preferring the government parties though) but it's safe to assume that it would again oppose DISY at the upcoming elections. If we have to say that it support some party/parties that would be DIKO, EDEK and European Party due to their close opinions for the Cyprus issue. But since it's not the newspaper following the party policy, rather a newspaper's policy that some times agree with specific parties, it can't be considered a "mouthpiece" of anyone.
