[edit] Should it be merged?

I feel that the two makers should be kept separate. There are several reasons for this.

First of all, the type of games they make fall into different categories. While it is possible to make tatical style games using the regular RPG Maker, it is not as common a practice as making traditional style RPGs. Sim RPG Maker is similar to the other makers in some ways, but I feel that it is different enough that it should be kept separate.

Second, the RPG Maker main page seems too cluttered. Sim RPG Maker would be a small footnote that would seem out of place as a section on the same page as the other makers. With its own page, it can clearly be differentiated from the other Makers.

Finally, I don't want to see any information lost. There aren't a whole lot of places to find information of Sim RPG Maker 95 out there. If they are out there, I haven't found them. I hope to see this page grow and become a useful and well designed article.

They're totally different concepts and programs, and I strongly believe they should stay seperate. However, I do believe the vote has already taken place. DMAJohnson 23:28, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
I think they should be merged. It is still part of the RPG Maker series, so it should just have, maybe one section in the article. M2K 23:32, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
I removed the merger notice. Each installment WILL have it's own page, the changes have already started. merging would just screw everything up, as the current RPG Maker article is being replaced by RPG Maker series, and then apparently the RPG Maker article will become the article for the first Playstation installment, since it's the only one with the title of just "RPG Maker" Valkysas 15:38, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] All RPG Makers Should Be Seperate

RPG Makers is a broad category that it seems people are throwing all RPG Makers into one entry. Each is distinctly different, with different design, maps, and concepts included in each, and various translators for each version. Give me some time to try and update a few of the pages and you may see what I mean...

DEJU: (it said 'Biased', technically you mean merge) why does anyonewant to merge this with RPG maker??? It's a completly different program (well not really but) it's not in the mainstream of the series... It will destroy the purpose of the set... Just don't do it, it won't work...

Yes. RPG makers 2000, 2003, and 95 should have one article but it gets to a point where your merging apples with orannges... If it's not reasonably the same thing, don't merge it
