Simurobi Gele'alo

Simurobi Gele'alo is one of the 31 woredas in the Afar Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Administrative Zone 5, Simurobi Gele'alo is located near the base of the eastern escarpment of the Ethiopian highlands, and bordered on the west by the Amhara Region, on the north by Fursi, and on the east and south by the Administrative Zone 3; the Awash River defines the eastern boundary of this woreda with Administrative Zone 3. Information is lacking on the towns and cities of this woreda.

Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 61,401, of whom 27,938 were males and 33,463 were females. Information is not available for the area of Simurobi Gele'alo, so its density cannot be calculated.[1]
