Simone Thurtell

Simone Thurtell is a drive presenter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's 1233 ABC Newcastle.

She formerly used to share the hosting of the summer Grandstand program with Peter Walsh and is also the ABC's around the ground reporter during international cricket matches played at the SCG.

Listeners can also hear her calling international netball test matches and she called the Gold medal netball match at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She matriculated from Santa Sabina College.

2007 will see her present the Drive program on 1233 ABC Newcastle. Tracey Holmes has replaced Thurtell on ABC Grandstand.
