Simon Weaver (born December 10, 1977 in Doncaster, England) is a footballer currently playing for Tamworth whom he joined from York City.

A wholehearted central defender, Simon began his career as an apprentice with Sheffield Wednesday and made his professional debut during a loan spell with Doncaster Rovers in February 1997. Released by Wednesday, he moved into the non-league circuit with first Ilkeston Town and then Nuneaton Borough.

In May 2002 he made a return to the professional ranks signing for Lincoln City who were managed by Keith Alexander who had been his boss at Ilkeston. A dogged, if limited, defender Simon enjoyed two seasons of success at Lincoln, earning plaudits for his willingness to put his body in the line of any shot or onrushing forward and earning the nickname "the horse".

At the start of the 2004/05, Simon lost his place in the Lincoln team and, following a loan period at Macclesfield Town, he joined Kidderminster Harriers in their unsuccessful fight against relegation from the Football league. 2005/06 saw Simon in the colours of Scarborough but the spell was not successful and with Scarborough in disarray, Simon was in need of a new club for 2006/07.

He turned down an invitation from King's Lynn to trial with York City, signing a four week contract with them in August 2006.

Having been an unused substitute for their first two games of the season, Simon found the offer of a years contract at Tamworth too hard to turn down and he moved on once again.
